"PUSHIN P" | Filming and Fly Fishing Patagonia’s Puyén Minnow Migration (Trout Feeding Frenzy)
Every March in Argentina’s Collón Cura River, the puyén minnow migration occurs. Thousands of tiny baitfish push upstream from the reservoir, triggering an explosive feeding frenzy of rainbow and brown trout. While hosting clients on a 7 day overnight camping and fly fishing adventure, we had an all-time day that deserved a video of its own. Stay tuned for our upcoming film, “PUSH’n P”, which captures this fleeting moment of chaos and Patagonia’s beauty.
OUR PATAGONIA FILMS ARE FINALLY HERE!

HOSTED TRAVEL film
For our first week, we hosted two of our buddies from Boise, Idaho (Blaze and Davin) on Cardumen's / AA club's 7-day overnight camping trip, run with Patagonia Outdoor Logistics. That week gave us everything we love about Patagonia: a TON of river time, incredible food, savory wine, and nights under the stars. We enjoyed it so much that we’ll be hosting another Cardumen // AA Club trip in March 2026. From that adventure, we’ll be dropping 3 full films: 🎥 A long-form video/vlog showcasing the full 7 day experience — the rivers, camps, food, and raw, authentic fun. (THIS ONE!) 🎥 Two additional videos focused on the Puyen minnow migration — swinging flies on trout spey, fish hammering it on the swing in fast water, and even a once-in-a-lifetime side channel feeding frenzy we couldn’t believe we captured.

TROUT SPEY IN ARGENTINA
If you know Joseph and Bradley, you know they are always trying to get on the Spey Train. Whether its in a random river in Idaho, or a new river in Patagonia, Argentina, if they can swing it, they will! The first ‘sister episode’ of our the “7 day Hosted Travel Video” is on the Collon Cura river. A larger system that experiences a “puyen minnow migration.” So, the TFF crew swung minnow patterns on an integrated scandi head in some heavy, fast current to crush a few quality 16-18” HOT rainbows. This video is super light, fun, and expresses the true energy these two have for swinging flies with spey rods.

Travel Fish Film is just a group of fishy dudes who needed another excuse to talk about fly fishing.
The podcast started as a way for us to dig deeper into the stories behind our trips—what went right, what went wrong, and everything in between. We talk travel, fish, film, friends, and the weird things that happen when chasing fish in all sorts of places. No script, no fluff—just honest conversations about the thing we love most.
